This month we are pleased to introduce you to Deeann Graham (IG: @alopecialifecoach), alopecia advocate and host of the Alopecia Life podcast! Deeann's journey with alopecia began at the age of 7, and went through several periods of hair loss and regrowth. In addition to her podcast, Deeann also produced a book, "Head-On, Stories of Alopecia," which profiles inspiring people with alopecia and their experiences.
Deeann has helped coach individuals with alopecia, and additionally developed several online resources for those in the community. Through her time coaching in the alopecia field, Deeann saw the need for materials specifically designed for parents of children with alopecia. She discusses this process during our conversation.
Other highlights include Deeann describing her time at the National Alopecia Areata Foundation conferences, including being a featured speaker at the 34th Annual NAAF Conference.
Finally, Deeann discusses her experience volunteering for the Children's Alopecia Project (CAP) and provides information on the organization's annual "Alopeciapalooza" event.
